Traditional Boatyard Craftsmanship
Each project at Cockwells begins with the finest raw materials. We always keep substantial quantities of the best quality specialist boatbuilding timbers in stock, ensuring that the perfect individual piece of timber can be chosen to precisely fit its purpose. The stunning teak, mahogany, chestnut and walnut we use give a rich, luxurious feel and a solidity that modern synthetic materials cannot achieve.
Each member of the Cockwells team is a skilled craftsman, and each adds his own individual stamp to every bespoke project. The high quality of both our workforce and the raw materials we use is complemented by our facilities. Every aspect of the build process, from the rough sawn timber through to the finished project, is carefully completed within Cockwells workshop, where we have a fully equipped wood machine shop that enables accurate and efficient processing of the raw materials into the component parts of each project.
