Cockwells return to Southampton Boat Show 2008

Friday 12th – Sunday 21st September

This year Cockwells have booked berth 383 at the Southampton Boat Show to display two of our recently launched boats, both of which we would be delighted to welcome you on board.

For the opening weekend we will be showing LIIT our new 37.6 foot classic wooden launch designed by Andrew Wolstenholme. This sleek, elegant yet rugged semi-displacement twin-screw motor launch turns heads wherever she goes. Classic Launch LIIT berth 383: Fri 12th Sept. – Sun 14th Sept

For the latter part of the show we are very proud to bring back our Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter Polly Agatha along with her new owners, a charter company Bowsprit Sailing Ltd.

In 2005, Cockwells courageously journeyed from Cornwall to Southampton towing a part-built hull of a 45 foot Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter replica. The boat which was to become Polly Agatha had only her backbone and frames as she made her debut appearance at the show but she still managed to impress many as she towered above the stand.

Built as a replica of Peggy (the original built by Rowles of Pill in 1904) Polly Agatha has all the charm of a classic Edwardian Cutter combined with a luxurious modern interior and fitted with the latest technology. Her accommodation was designed to the specifications of Bowsprit Sailing making her ideal for charter and as a sea school - she has 10 berths including a luxuriously appointed master cabin located in the stern with en-suite head and shower. During our previous visit to the Southampton Boat Show our stand was extremely busy. So if you are interested in visiting either of our boats we highly recommend that you pre-book your appointment to avoid any disappointment.
