Jongert in floating dry-dock
Major refit for Jongert Shoo Shoo
Shoo Shoo has a great winter
Cockwells was selected to look after Shoo Shoo while her owner was searching for a small yard that could handle a big yacht and complete a high quality winter refit.
Shoo Shoo, a 60ft Jongert, was carried up Mylor Creek, safely contained in our floating dry-dock (pictured right) that has capacity to contain boats of upto 9ft (3m) in draft, upto 80ft (24m) long and 100 tonnes in weight.
Shoo Shoo came in for recaulking of her deck and repainting. Cockwells shot-blasted the underwater section of her hull back to bare steel in preparation for a full protective coating.
She was painted with excellent coatings in the form of International two-pack epoxy below the waterline and Awlgrip two-pack polyurethane above the waterline.
While she was still out of the water in our floating dry-dock, Shoo Shoo had a major overhaul of her prop-shaft and drive train culminating in a full engine-room refit including a highly capable new Cummings QSB 230hp engine.
