Andrew Wolstenholme is renowned for the powerboat designs he has produced for leading UK builders and also for his classic small craft. In his work for Cockwells he draws on this wide experience to create modern launches with a timeless elegance.

As well as his classically-designed superyacht tender designs for Cockwells, Wolstenholme also designed the 37ft bespoke motor launch LIIT that Cockwells completed in the summer of 2008. As you will no doubt appreciate from the images here, both the open-top runabout and the air-conditioned limousine are classically inspired

Cockwells Tailormade Tenders

As bespoke boat builders in traditional wood and modern composites, we build superyacht associated launches to brief for superyachts, working within the parameters of weight and size dictated by the parent vessel.

We are happy to work with either our partner designers or those of your preference – or your client’s preference. Each craft we build can be built to comply with the EU Recreational Craft Directive or any other recognized standard.

Hull construction can be in a variety of materials depending on the requirements of the vessel - from epoxy-infused Aramid e-glass foam sandwich to cedar strip planking sheathed with glass and epoxy.

We also offer a wide range of external finishes from a resin-infused veneer to high-quality paint systems. The choice of deck options includes resin-infused laminates and traditionally laid teak.

We produce individual castings and fabrications to personalise the deck gear and other fittings. Any of these fittings can be in a variety of finishes such as bronze, chromed bronze, 316 stainless steel or nickel plate, etc.

The result is a unique tender, perfectly-styled and built to meet the needs of the superyacht it tends.
